Australian Parents Throw 3-Year-Old Daughter Epic $39,000 Disney-themed Birthday Dinner

Three-year-old Lauren Lembo celebrated her birthday bash last weekend in Perth, Australia with an extravagant $39,000 party that would put the teens on MTV’s “My Super Sweet Sixteen” to shame.

The Disney-themed soiree featured entertainment by a former “Australian Idol” contestant, a balloon artist, a magician and special appearances by Minnie and Mickey Mouse. Truffle arancini, tempura scallops and oysters were only a few of the luxurious items on the decadent menu that were served alongside Remy Martin XO cognac and French champagne.

The party was hosted on a riverfront venue, Caversham House, owned by her father. Invitations were extended to 220 lucky guests who attended the lavish event that included a giant chandelier-lined marquee and an enormous lighted sign of Lauren’s name. Her doting parents, Eric Lembo and Trang Nguyen, have received harsh criticism for their excessive spending, but they contend that it was money well spent, and they plan to throw her an equally extravagant bash for her fourth birthday.

The chandelier marquee, furniture, trees, flowers and other decorations cost about $9,635.

Food and staff racked up a hefty $18,890 bill for the party.

Beer, wine, Remy Martin XO cognac and non-alcoholic drinks cost $12,700.

Eric Lembo believes the price he paid was worth it for his daughter’s reaction.
