These 24-Karat Gold-Covered Truffles Are Almost Too Pretty To Eat

We’ve come across a lot of decadent gold-covered treats this year, and we knew that this trend wouldn’t leave 2017 without a bang. Now what would be the best way for this trend to give us one last hurrah before the new year? Well, if you ask me, anything that incorporates wine and chocolate into the mix is a clear winner.

It turns out, Mini Melanie, a Brooklyn-based dessert company, and Kim Crawford Wines agree with my sentiments.

Taking three of the best things in the world, chocolate, wine, and gold, they’ve created a box full of dark, milk, and white chocolate truffles that are hand-painted delicately with 24-karat gold leaf and adorned with mini gold sugar drags. And you know they had to add the dark chocolate ganache made from Kim Crawford Wines Sauvignon Blanc to ooze from the center with each bite for that little extra oomph of luxury. Emphasis on extra.

Look, I’m not saying you need to be this bougie all the time, but imagine going to a holiday party, sipping on your wine, snacking on a velvety gold-covered chocolate, while looking like that snack yourself.

I mean, isn’t that the dream?

Turns out Christmas wishes really do come true, because you can easily make that dream into a reality. Treat yo’self one last time before 2017 ends. You deserve it.
