1,400 Pounds Of Weed Stuffed Inside Coconuts Found At U.S. Border

The war on drugs is a very real war. On top of that list is a green-leafed plant commonly known as pot, or weed. If you smoke or eat it, your eyes will get red, you’ll get really tired and really hungry and the government wants you to know it’s very dangerous.

Now, even though several states have legalized recreational pot, people everywhere are continually finding more ways to hide pot than there are way to actually use it.

Well, authorities won a battle in the war against pot-stuffed coconuts when a truckload of coconuts were found to be packed with the Schedule 1 substance at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility in Pharr, Texas.

On May 9, a trailer hauling a shipment of coconuts from Mexico was selected for “non-intrusive imaging” — which seems to be a fancy word for x-ray — officers discovered more than 2,400 bags of marijuana concealed within the coconuts, the agency reported on its website.

It was reported that authorities confiscated 1,432 pounds of Marijuana which is estimated to be worth $285,000 on the street.

Pretty nuts!
