Bloody Brain Cake
This bloody brain cake recipe almost looks too realistic in which your guests might feel like they’re on an episode of a spooky Fear Factor episode.
Ingredients:
– 1 box red velvet cake mix
– 3 eggs
– 1/2 cup vegetable oil or butter
– 1 cup water or milk
– Nonstick spray
– 8oz salted butter – room temperature
– 8oz cream cheese – room temperature
– 4 cups confectioners sugar
– 2 tsp vanilla extract
– 2lbs vanilla fondant
– 1 drop red food coloring
– 1 cup red seedless raspberry jam
Instructions:
1. Start by spraying an 8 inch stainless steel bowl with nonstick spray.
2. Cut 6 strips of parchment paper to line your bowl.
3. Pour in prepared red velvet cake mix.
4. Place on a sheet pan then bake 350 F oven for 1 hour or until a wooden skewers comes out clean.
5. Beat room temperate salted butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy then add powder sugar and vanilla extract. Mix on lowest speed then speed up after incorporated and beat 1 more minute.
6. Once you cake has cooled, remove from bowl and peel off the parchment.
7. Trim off a little from the right and left side then cut a line down the middle.
8. Trim further if needed to resemble shape of a brain.
9. Next add your frosting and spread on – coating the entire cake – this will be your crumb coat.
10. Chill in fridge 30 minutes.
11. Add your second layer of frosting and make sure to keep the distinct line down the middle.
12. Return to fridge.
13. Meanwhile, add in 1 drop red food coloring to 2 lbs of vanilla fondant knead together until color is fully incorporated.
14. Roll fondant into logs then strategically place on your cake making squiggly lines while keeping the brain halves separate.
15. Brush on seedless raspberry jam.
16. Chill until ready to serve.
17. ENJOY!

Oogie Boogie Cupcakes
Who doesn’t love The Nightmare Before Christmas? Instead of our favorite skeleton, Jack, perhaps consider Oogie Boogie as a more frightening choice.
Ingredients:
– Buttercream
– Green food dye
– Plain flour
– Caster sugar
– Baking powder
– Unsalted butter
– Whole milk
– Egg
– Vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Research how to prep standard cupcake recipes (sorry @cakedbyrach didn’t provide, but once you have that down! See below).
2. Use a large round piping tip (ateco 809) to add green buttercream for the face.
3. added the pointy part of the hood using piping tip 2A.
4. Press the buttercream down onto parchment paper to achieve a flat surface – shape the point with a small metal spatula here to make it look neater.
5. Freeze the cupcake for 15 minutes.
6. Remove the parchment paper and attach your stencil to the top. You can make the stencil using a square of parchment paper and a sharp blade.
7. Apply a thin layer of black buttercream over the stencil then carefully peel it off.
8. Add some extra stitching to his hood.

Witch Cauldron Brownie Bites
These bubbling cauldron brownie bites are waiting to ooze at your next house party. We won’t judge if you indulge in a couple as you “test” out these macabre munchies.
Ingredients:
For the Brownies:
– 1 box of your favorite brownie mix (follow package instructions for ingredients)
For the Homemade Buttercream:
– 1/2 cup butter
– 2 cups powdered sugar
– 1 tbsp milk
– Green food coloring
Instructions:
1. Prepare your boxed brownie mix according to the package instructions. Preheat your oven as directed and lightly grease a mini muffin pan.
2. Fill each mini muffin well about 2/3 full with brownie batter.
3. Bake according to the brownie mix instructions, typically around 10-15 minutes for mini muffins, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
4. Once baked, use the back of a 1/2 tablespoon to make indentations in the center of each brownie while still warm. Let the brownies cool completely before removing from the pan.
5. To make the buttercream, beat the butter until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and milk, then mix in green food coloring until evenly blended.
6. Using a piping bag or spoon, fill the indentations in the brownies with the green buttercream.
7. Add candy eyes, green sugar pearls, and a pretzel stick to resemble a cauldron’s stirring rod for an extra spooky touch.
Optional: You can also sprinkle some edible glitter around the edges for a magical effect!✨

Jack-O-Lantern Stuffed Peppers
With ghouls, skeletons, brains, and monsters already on deck, I needed to add some wholesome, yet seething Jack-O-Lanterns to round out your snack selections!
Ingredients:
– 4 large orange bell peppers
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1 small onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)

– Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
2. To prepare the peppers, cut off the tops of the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Use a small knife to carve jack-o-lantern faces into the sides of the peppers.
4. To cook the filling, in a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. 5. Add the onion and garlic and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
6. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
7. Stir in the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
8. Let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes.
9. To stuff the peppers, fill each bell pepper with the beef and rice mixture. Place the stuffed peppers in the prepared baking dish.
10. Then bake and cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove the foil, sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese, and bake for another 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
11. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
