Espresso Tequila Exists, the Only ‘Creamer’ You’ll Ever Need

For those of you looking for the perfect “kick” to your morning coffee, this should brighten your day, if not make it more interesting: Espresso Tequila exists.

The folks over at Tequila Avión recently rolled out their new Espresso Liqueur, a unique blend of fine Italian espresso and Avión Silver Tequila. Naturally, we tried it out one Monday morning at the office. A few shots of the syrupy liquid went down smoothly; the smoky taste of the dark roasted beans were taken up a notch by the warm tequila flavor. Some of the staff noted its smell reminded them of  “burnt caramel coffee,” while our Intern Erika informed us that its aroma had  an “unpleasant bite.”  Still, a solid liqueur when solo.

Personally, I loved it and quickly suggested we use it as a boozy creamer to our coffee. The addition of the Espresso Liqueur made for a milder version of an espresso martini. Needless to say, we were properly tipsy after pouring a few shots into our mugs, which made for an excellent way to kick off the week. I highly recommend it.

Avión Espresso SRP $24.99, 750ml bottles @Avión
