CHIPCEPTION: Doritos Go From Chip to Taco to DLT-Flavored Chip

As if turning Doritos into a taco wasn’t enough, PepsiCo and Taco Bell are partnering up again to reverse the process. Starting on April 8th, you can have the taste of a Doritos Locos Taco in the convenience of a chip, minus all that lettuce, meat and cheese.

The new bags will feature a duo of flavors, half original Doritos flavors: Nacho Cheese and Cool Ranch, and half a new flavor they’re calling Crunchy Taco.

It definitely seems like the release of these new chips are riding on the fresh success of the debut of Taco Bell’s Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco earlier this month.

In case you just can’t wait a few weeks for this junk food mash-up, Doritos is hooking up a twitter follower with 132 bags of Doritos Locos Tacos Doritos goodness just for telling them how “bold you’d go for a #DoritosPallet”.

Let’s be real, you could make Doritos Locos Tacos Nachos out of these chips just by adding the missing taco fixin’s on top of them. Now that would definitely be Doritos Locos Tacos-ception, and quite possibly an epic snack.

With these chips headed to shelves in a few weeks, at least vegetarians can now enjoy the taste of Doritos Locos Tacos, that’s got to count for something, right?
