Modular Cocktail Creator Let’s You Mix Drinks Like A Pro

There’s been a resurgence of modern “speakeasies” in the liquor scene for the past few years. Speakeasies are like reincarnations of classy, Prohibition-era watering holes. Or basically, bougie bars devoid of the typical big screens and chicken wings.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for big screens and chicken wings (case in point: I got super wingfaced a few nights ago, and no, I was NOT okay to drive). But it’s also nice, from time to time, to go to a place where they play jazz instead of Top 40, where the bartenders don suspenders instead of tattoos, and where said suspenders-wearing bartenders are actually known as “mixologists.” Fancy that!

Not everyone can be a certified mixologist– there’s a written test and some sort of hazing ritual involved– but for those who still want to get their Sir Mix-A-Lot on, Tatabi Studio has you covered. The Dublin based graphic and web design studio created the Enkaja, a cocktail mixer that separates a drink’s different components through interlocking sections that stack up like Legos. The sleek, black canister is “essentially ‘Drinks for Dummies'” where each pre-measured bottle, adorned with the periodic elements, is labeled as either the base, spirit, or touch. Inebriation has never been so… scientific. And science has never been so sexy.
