A Look at McDonald’s S’Mores Pie

As part of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, McDonald’s Canada introduced a S’mores Pie to their local customers. It wasn’t until today, oddly enough, that we got a further look at the tempting little fast food dessert item. The item follows a similar aesthetic to the brand’s Baked Apple Pie, but consists of layers of marshmallow and chocolate filling.

Thanks to some serendipitous food reporting by our new friend Jess out of Western Massachusetts, we get a look at the limited time pie beyond the traditional product shots. The item, which ran for 79 cents on its own or $1.39 for a 2-pack, reportedly had a strong meringue and vanilla flavor, with the chocolate maintaining more of a thicker chcolate pudding consistency, as opposed to being syrupy or fudge-y.

Speaking of McDonald’s pies, it was just over a month ago we found that the burger giant was testing a Peach Pie at some of their United States locations. No official word yet on any further expansion of the McDonald’s S’mores Pie.
