SlapFish Food Truck Serves up a “Lobsticle”

Food Trucks continue their aim to present gourmet cuisine in a portable fashion, and the Huntington Beach-based SlapFish truck is no exception. The seafood segment has indeed long been entrenched by the fine-dining and casual sectors, but with items like The Lobsticle, SlapFish is taking their innovation into the street. This particular item is a half of a pan-grilled lobster tail topped with chipotle aioli, champagne vinaigrette and fresh chives — served on a skewer.

The truck serves up a host of other fun seafood items, including a Tower of Tuna, a toasted English muffin packed with a generous portion of fresh tuna salad, topped with lettuce, tomato, thin cut cucumbers and a smokey, creamy, chipotle sauce.

Equally intriguing in relation to the The Lobsticle are their Shrimp Pops, a crispy bread dough filled with their shrimp and diced pepperoni, topped with a slathering of spiced chili sauce, aromatic chives and lemon — flash fried for melting perfection.

To get in on the action, stay tuned to the SlapFish website, Facebook and Twitter.
