Dunkin’ Donuts Offering Free Donuts On June 3, 2011

June 3rd is National Donut Day, a chance for donut shops nationwide to get into some sort of charitable or creative spirit. At least that rings true for Dunkin’ Donuts, who will be offering guests a free donut of their choice (while supplies last) with the purchase of a beverage (excluding bottled cooler beverages).

According to a press release straight from Dunkin‘, the holiday is held the first Friday of June each year. It was originally established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to honor the women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I.
