Lunch Truck It: City of Long Beach’s First Weekly Food Truck Event

The gourmet food truck craze has swept across Los Angeles, Orange County and is creeping across the rest of the nation. Come May 4th, the food truck movement will find its way to Long Beach for the first time ever. In our continuing coverage of Food Truck news, best believe we’ll be in attendance:

Long Beach, the second-largest city in the greater Los Angeles area, has long restricted food trucks from operating on city grounds. In partnership with Councilmember Patrick O’Donnell, Vision Design Studio and several other sponsors including your favorite food news website (…FOODBEAST, in case you forgot) are presenting Lunch Truck It at the Zaferia-South (ZaSo) Design district.

In an attempt to bring together professionals, families, students, and local residents together for lunch, a wide variety of food trucks will be in rotating-attendance every week. L.A. favorites you can expect include The Vizzi Truck, Cool Haus, Grill ‘Em AllButtermilk Truck and other amazing trucks.

The first event will be Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 11:30am at 1342 Coronado Ave, Long Beach, CA 90804, and every Wednesday following for the next several months. A full list of trucks, scheduling, and general information is all available on the official event website: Lunch Truck It.

Hope to see y’all out there for some good food and good times, so many new trucks to try out! Which will you start with?!
