Pauly D Hates Miracle Whip. Do You?

Miracle Whip is ruffling their own feathers with their most recent campaign with Jersey Shore cast member Pauly D. This latest initiative follows Pauly D as he explains his hatred for the Miracle Whip brand, even going so far as to say “If I had a girlfriend that liked Miracle Whip…it’s a deal breaker”.

The video spot is ballsy, attempting to spur debate on various social media outlets and conjure up a reverse mentality, even releasing another video spot that pits people who hate the brand and those that love it in the same segment. The brand’s end goal seems to incite consumers to discuss their spread and “pick a side” but the real question is, do end-consumers care enough to interact? Should Miracle Whip, or any food brand for that matter, be so bold as to tell their potential customers that they should either love, or hate their product?
