Homemade Crunchy Burrito

Taco Bell made some waves a few weeks back when it released the Beefy Crunch Burrito which made genius use of Flamin’ Hot Fritos as a texture and flavor additive in their product. Our friend Dan took to his kitchen to make what was a rather impeccable homemade version of the same burrito, and to be frank, his version looks quite delectable. The key difference between the creations is that Dan made his own crunchy strips, utilizing a spiced oil dipping marinade for corn tortillas, cut them up into strips and baked them until crunchy. The spice blend utilized cumin, chipotle ancho, oregano, garlic, cinnamon and coriander. The rest of the ingredients in the sandwich were pretty similar to the Taco Bell version, piling in sour cream, beef, cheese and rice (added minced lettuce).
