Anaheim: Taqueria Escalante

I’ve been dying to Food Beast this place. I hate to show this level of emotion, because, let’s put it bluntly, I have a huge endowment and it might shrink if I’m extroverted with my feelings. Regardless, I decided enough was enough, I hopped in my car mid-Home Improvement Episode and drove to my good friends over at Taqueria Escalante.

Tuesday night? Que?

The actual spot is a fun, simple type of place that me and the homies always eat at before we go out at night, or for breakfast before an event. Since I already had a date waiting at home ( hello Jill from Home Improvement! ), I decided I would take the meal to go.

Fire sauce.

Beautiful shredded chicken torta. Once you try the amazing bread…or “pan” (that’s what my Spanish teachers in high school told me it was called), you will never go back.

Watchin’ my carbs with this chicken fajita plate.

Atkins-killer. Otherwise known as: Steamin’ Hot Fresh Tortillas

Red cup beverage to put you to sleep.
