Vegan James Cameron Says “Hasta La Vista, Baby” to a Life of Dairy & Meat

James-Cameron-Goes-Vegan

As suspicious as I am of vegans (a life without deep fried beer & bacon humburgers, whaa?), I have to applaud James Cameron. The creator and director of blockbuster hits such as Avatar and The Terminator is opting for a vegan lifestyle on the grounds that it is the sure-fire, moral way to go. Oh, and he’s making it a family affair.

When Calgary Herald reporter Judith Woods asked if his children shared his “vision of self-sufficiency and salad,” Cameron nearly snapped. “No, of course not, the kids want hamburgers and Coke because they’re kids. But all of human consciousness is five years old emotionally. It’s not a requirement to eat animals, we just choose to do it.” Shoot homie, it was just a question.

But really, tho. Props for doing it big for the trees and animals. As the Avatar director explained, choosing to eat meat “becomes a moral choice and one that is having a huge impact on the planet, using up resources and destroying the biosphere.” Respect.

In the end, however, Filet Mignon > Salad.
