Seattle Starbucks Locations Do Without Their Logo

starbucks-without-the-starbucks

In what used to be seen as a dominating, unstoppable force of branding ingenuity, Starbucks locations in Seattle have began looking towards other avenues beyond slapping its logo on everything in their cafe and creating nearly identical cafés merely minutes from each other. According to the Seattle Times, three “Starbucks” cafes will open under the name of their neighborhood as opposed to the the huge corporate entity they seem to be “tied to” currently. Debuting this Monday are the first of those three renamed locations which will be titled, “15th Avenue Coffee and Tea”. A long with the normal fair, they have also acquired a license to sell beer and wine, they will also host music performances, poetry nights, and other “community” events. Is this treatment enough to draw folks away from the other quality coffee houses in the vicinity? Or will people see right through Starbucks’ latest foray into the coffee house lifestyle?
