Chipotle Collabs With NBA Stars To Create The Ultimate To-Go Bag

NBA players have turned the tunnels of arenas into fashion runways and now two of them are turning Chipotle takeout bags into couture.

Chipotle teamed up with New York Knicks’ Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart and designer Peder Cho to create custom To-Go Bags, crafted with each player’s Chipotle fan insights in mind.

Bridges’ bag features silver foil insulation to ensure his food stays warm, and the zipper flap enclosing the bag is both secure and sleek. It includes a tray with compartments underneath the flap, as well as a fork holder on one side of the bag and a napkin holder on the other. His bag also has a large embossed Chipotle logo on the outside.

“It’s always a friendly competition between me and Josh, so you know I have the most stylish customized Chipotle To-Go Bag,” said Bridges. “I am definitely taking this bag with me on every road trip and showing it off.”

For Hart, his bag is constructed into two layers that are detachable. The top layer is a space for his personal belongings, and the second layer is for his entrée. The bag also includes silver foil insulation, a tray with compartments, and fork and napkin holders on both sides of the bag.

“I love how the bag keeps my food warm and how it has space for forks because naturally, you can only eat Chipotle with a Chipotle fork,” Hart said. “I wear what I feel good in, and I eat what I love. This bag really captures my lifestyle and approach to fashion.”

Peder Cho, the designer behind the upcycling brand Utopia, has collaborated with several notable brands and organizations to create unique upcycled items. Some of his collaborations include work with Nike, Just Water, and Reebok. “This was an especially fun project for me to work on because we took an iconic item, the Chipotle takeout bag, and completely reimagined it to become an elevated piece for a pre-game outfit,” said Cho. “On top of that, the utility of the bags will deliver Mikal and Josh their dream Chipotle dining experiences.”

Chipotle will be giving away one of each bag on Instagram.
