Van Leeuwen Reveals New Ice Cream Flavors Inspired By The Five Love Languages

Cupid’s holiday is flying around the corner. Whether you like it or not, brands will attempt to capture our hearts and stomachs with their new product launches that will lean on the holiday of love. With that in mind, Van Leeuwen reveals its five new ice cream flavors that are adorably inspired by the “five love languages.”

The “five love languages” consist of gift-giving, words of affirmation, physical touch, quality time, and acts of service – Van Leeuwen has thoughtfully transformed each language into five new pints just in time for Valentine’s Day.

This concept was first introduced in 1992 by author Gary Chapman in his non-fiction book called “The Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate.” The book outlines five general ways that romantic partners express and experience love, which Chapman naturally called “love languages.”

According to the brand’s press release, the five new flavors will include:

  • Chocolate Strawberry Surprise (Gift-giving): Sweet cream ice cream with chocolate chips and strawberry jam swirls
  • You’re My Brown Sugar Cookie Butter (Words of Affirmation): Cookie butter is swirled into brown sugar ice cream
  • Hug Me Hazelnut Truffle (Physical touch): It blends hazelnut ice cream and pieces of chocolate truffles
  • Let’s Hang Out S’more (Quality Time): A sweet cream ice cream base, chock-full of chocolate chips, marshmallow swirls and graham crackers
  • Blackberry Chip In (Acts of service): Unlike the other four love language iterations, this pint is made with blackberry containing a hearty amount of chocolate chips

This loving collection will exclusively be available at Kroger stores.
