Healthy fast-casual chain Sweetgreen is taking its commitment to thoughtfully chosen ingredients a step further with its first-ever seed oil-free menu. The company began transitioning last year, replacing the seed oils used for its roasted veggies and proteins with extra virgin olive oil and avocado oil.

Now available at Sweetgreen locations nationwide and online, the seed oil-free menu features:

  • BBQ Chicken + Ranch plate: w/ blackened chicken, white rice, warm roasted sweet potatoes, avocado, pickled onions, honey BBQ sauce, and green goddess.
  • Honey BBQ Steak + Ranch plate: w/ caramelized garlic steak, warm roasted sweet potatoes, shredded cabbage, spicy broccoli, white rice, green goddess ranch, and honey BBQ sauce. [ONLINE ONLY]
  • Blackened Chicken + Ranch bowl: w/ blackened chicken, avocado, goat cheese, chickpeas, tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, herbed quinoa, chopped romaine, and green goddess ranch.
  • Spicy Green Goddess bowl: w/ blackened chicken, warm roasted sweet potatoes, cilantro, cucumbers, tomatoes, shredded cabbage, herbed quinoa, spring mix, green goddess ranch, and Sweetgreen hot sauce. [ONLINE ONLY]
  • Super Green Goddess bowl: w/ chickpeas, roasted sweet potatoes, raw carrots, spicy broccoli, shredded cabbage, roasted almonds, baby spinach, shredded kale, and green goddess ranch. [ONLINE ONLY]

”Whether it’s our approach to roasting or creating dressings from scratch, we’re redefining fast food to prioritize real ingredients that fuel your body and inspire a healthier food system—one flavorful bite at a time,” co-founder and CEO Jonathan Neman said in a LinkedIn post

Neman emphasizes that extra virgin olive oil and avocado oil are essential for successfully transitioning away from seed oils. Not only are they flavorful, but they are also minimally processed and healthier alternatives. Head to your local Sweetgreen today to experience seed-free deliciousness.
