Chipotle Introduces New AI Hiring Platform To Support Its Accelerated Growth

It’s safe to say that artificial intelligence has taken the restaurant industry by storm. We’re only seeing the beginning of ways in which companies will automate services. Chipotle is taking AI a step further with the introduction of a new hiring platform that is supposed to simplify the hiring process for the company’s 3,500 locations.

Chipotle created the new platform with Paradox, a company specializing in AI assistant services. What separates the system from others is that it utilizes conversational AI, which is more responsive and adaptive to applicant needs. General Managers will be able to spend less time compiling basic information on individual job candidates, scheduling interviews, and on administrative tasks. Conversational AI technology is expected to reduce the average time of the hiring process by 75%.

To streamline the hiring process, Chipotle and its partner have introduced “Ava Cado,” a fictional but helpful virtual team member on Chipotle’s new AI hiring platform. Set to begin testing this fall, Ava Cado will handle tasks like answering questions, collecting basic information, and scheduling interviews, much like Apple’s Siri or Amazon’s Alexa. Ava can also communicate in English, Spanish, French, and German.
