There are few combos more iconic than a freshly baked bagel topped with Philadelphia cream cheese. Now, the iconic brand has set the stage for its newest product: Philadelphia Cream Cheese Flavored Frosting. This is the first-ever refrigerated cream cheese frosting released by Philadelphia and the first by a major U.S. brand.

Fun fact: cream cheese frosting is one of America’s top three favorite frosting flavors. Recently, there has been a growing demand from bakers for quality frosting without artificial flavors, dyes, or that require too many ingredients and steps. Enter Philadelphia, the leader in cream cheese for more than 150 years. It’s new frosting promises to deliver the cream cheese taste you know and love with a spreadable texture that’s creamy and delicious.

“Bringing the creamy deliciousness of Philadelphia to the frosting category just makes sense and it’s a great example of how we’re giving our fans new ways they can enjoy Philly in the kitchen,” said Becca Dunphey, President, Taste, Meals and Snacking at The Kraft Heinz Company. “Our team has worked tirelessly to perfect a frosting recipe worthy of the Philadelphia name, and we are excited to bring this game changing innovation to market. With Philadelphia Frosting, consumers don’t need to compromise on taste or convenience, they can be confident that they’re getting the delicious Philadelphia experience every time.”

It took Philly’s culinary team a year and a half to develop the new Cream Cheese Flavored Frosting. Like the original classic, the frosting was made to pair with all sorts of tasty foods like cakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, and more. Philadelphia’s Cream Cheese Flavored Frosting will be hitting stores nationwide starting in October and will come in a 16-ounce tub for just $4.99.
