Van Leeuwen Ice Cream Is Launching A Hello Kitty Flavor

Hello Kitty fans should take note of this exciting ice cream collab on the horizon. Sanrio, the global brand behind Hello Kitty, is teaming up with New York City-based Van Leeuwen Ice Cream to launch an exclusive Hello Kitty 50th Anniversary flavor on National Ice Cream Day, Sunday, July 21. But it’ll be available for just that day only.

In honor of Hello Kitty’s milestone, Van Leeuwen is rolling out a limited-edition flavor: Yummy Berry White Chocolate Truffle Ice Cream. Available nationwide at Van Leeuwen scoop shops, this special treat blends creamy white chocolate ice cream with swirls of sweet red raspberry jam, paying tribute to Hello Kitty’s iconic red bow, and adds chunks of decadent truffle brownies. To amplify the celebration, Van Leeuwen and Sanrio are also giving back—50 percent of the profits will be donated to charity, embodying Hello Kitty’s spirit of friendship and kindness.

Moreover, Van Leeuwen and Sanrio will host a pop-up event at the Van Leeuwen Tribeca shop (310 Greenwich St, New York, NY 10013) on National Ice Cream Day. The event will feature scoops of the new flavor, Hello Kitty-themed sundaes and shakes, and limited-edition merchandise. Free friendship bracelets from Little Words Project, known for its focus on community and kindness, will also be available.
