This Portland Baseball Team Is The First To Sell Cannabis At Games

It looks like cannabis is becoming more and more mainstream. West Coast League baseball team the Portland Pickles just announced an exclusive partnership with Cycling Frog, a hemp-derived THC-based seltzer drink. It marks the first time that a sports team will legally sell cannabis-based products at live sports events.

The buzzy beverages contain just 2 milligrams of THC and 4 milligrams of CBD each and will be available at Walker Stadium. Flavors include passionfruit and lemon and fans have to be 21 and up to purchase.

“The Portland Pickles have a responsibility in the sports industry to take leaps and set a precedent of innovative partnerships,” Ross Campbell, VP of Business Development for the Pickles, said in the press release. “As we saw in 2019, becoming the first team to ever partner with a CBD company, and quickly teams all the way up to the Major League level across sports follow suit.”

Fans can find Cycling Frog’s products at The Jack Daniels Party Deck Bar (behind home plate), Dillion’s Hideaway Bar (located in center field), and at a third standalone point of sale right past the main entrance.
