NBA Announcer Kevin Harlan Delivers Hilarious Commentary After Fans Throw Chicken Wings On Court

Kevin Harlan has had a storied career. As a 3-time winner of Sportscaster of the Year, one could imagine that he’s seen his fair share of projectiles fly across hardwood floors. During the 4th quarter of last Thursday’s NBA game between the Sacramento Kings and the New Orleans Pelicans, Harlan noticed something strange skirting onto the center circle.

Though Harlan tried his darndest to focus on the game, he couldn’t help but comment “…driving into Murray, somebody’s throwing something on the floor…46 seconds to go. It’s a chicken wing!” He then asked the question that was on all of our minds, “Why would someone throw something that good out on the floor?”

Somebody must’ve lost a major bet or something, because that’s just rude, let alone disrespectful to the delicious experience that chicken wings provide. “It’s crispy, it’s warm, and I almost had to go out there — I’m so hungry,” he continues.

If that isn’t funny enough, while Harlan is expressing his craving for chicken wings, some guy grabs it, wraps it in a towel, and tucks it away in some random pocket at the base of the opposite basketball goal. Why not just throw it away? Maybe he has a thing for pre-chewed chicken wings or something. Harlan was equally confused but chose to go along with it, “What’s that guy? I hope he eats it.”

Just when the game starts back up, another chicken wing comes flying onto the court. “More chicken,” observed Harlan. The players were clearly annoyed by this point, the schtick had flown the coop, with some attempting to locate the chicken wing culprit in response.
