Starbucks to Introduce Smoothies

As a part of an unfortunately sluggish U.S. economy, companies everywhere are looking for things to jump start their brands. Even the all-mighty Starbucks has been looking to up the ante as competitors such as Dunkin’ Donuts and McDonald’s have been edging their way quite successfully into the finer drink market. In an attempt to further revitalize their offerings, the company will be introducing fruit based, high protein, low-calorie smoothie drinks to their menus in the next few weeks. (Thx. MarketWatch)
