Cinnamon Cereal Treats

Lately, I’ve taken a pretty enthusiastic interest in making food. I’ve been whipping together random snacks for all my buddies at night. It’s a really nice way to unwind at the end of the day, and all my friends seem to really enjoy what I make (I hope!), so hopefully I can keep up with this new found passion. On top of that, this is the perfect adventure to share on Foodbeast! So let’s get it started off with something super simple: Cinnamon Cereal Treats.

This is one of the easiest and tastiest recipes ever. All you need is Marshmallows, Unsalted Butter, and your favorite cereal (Cinnamon Toast Crunch @ Foodbeast HQ).

  • 6 cups cereal of choice
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cups mini-marshmallows

1) Melt the butter over low heat in a pot.

2) Once the butter is completely melted, slowly add the marshmallows. I opted for one cup at a time.

3) Add the mixture to the dry cereal, and quickly combine. Work fast, as the marshmallow mixture will get sticky quickly.

4) Rub a thin layer of oil or butter into the pan you want to shape the treats in, then tightly press into the container with your palm. Make sure to pack it tightly, otherwise it may fall apart during eating.

5) Let it cool, pop it out onto a cutting sheet, then slice into pieces. Tip: Run your knife under hot water if you are having trouble cutting.

Cinnamon Cereal Treats

The best thing is that it’s so simple, anyone can do it. There are only 3 ingredients, and you can use any cereal you want. Make it anytime, and it surely won’t last long. Golden Grahams, Cheerios, Trail Mix? I’ve had Fruit Loops before, and I’m a better man for it. So many possibilities, so dang tasty.
