Costco Replaces Churros With Massive 750-Calorie Chocolate Chip Cookie
Watch out Crumbl, there’s a new cookie in town at 750-calories and at a way more affordable price tag, $2.49. Costco, the wholesale distributor, known for its great food court values (ahem $1.50 hot dog) debuted its new Double Chocolate Chunk cookie recently and fans are either loving it or disappointed that it replaced the beloved churros.
Earlier this month we reported on rumors swirling around the churros being replaced by a huge chocolate chip cookie on the Costco Food Court menu, and now we have more details.
So, what makes these cookies valuable enough to replace the churros? Fans are quite distraught and are highly concerned on the calorie consumption of just one cookie.
Say your daily calorie intake were 2,000 calories, you would only need to eat approximately 2.5 cookies to meet your requirement. That’s a large cookie and highly concerning for one’s appetite. One reddit user even compared it to basically eating a whole stick of butter.
Not sure what Costco was thinking on this change considering this cookie also costs more than the fan-favorite churro, which was priced at just $1.49. This may be the most unpopular discontinued decision yet. Now, let’s hope they don’t even think about getting rid of the $1.50 hot dog.
