Fly By Jing’s Newest Chili Oil Is Like ‘Chili Crisp On Steroids’

Just when you thought Fly By Jing’s ultra popular Sichuan-style chili crisp couldn’t get any better, the brand’s latest release is certain to spice things up. It’s called Chengdu Crunch and, according to owner Jing Gao, has been in development since the brand’s inception.

Not one to settle, Gao continually pursues ways to improve upon Fly By Jing’s already impressive chili crisps. “How do we continue evolving? How do we showcase MORE – more CRUNCH, more CRISP, more FLAVOR, more TEXTURE, more UMAMI, more DEPTH. This is a recipe we’ve been trying to crack for years, and we finally did it,” Gao shared in a statement

The perfect recipe was realized during a trip to her homeland, the first in three long years. It took a total of six months to create the recipe for it. Said to be “chili crisp on steroids,” Chengdu Crunch is features healthy fats, is protein-rich and includes fava beans, yellow split peas, soybeans, sunflower, and pumpkin and sesame seeds. People with nut allergies needn’t worry, as it’s totally nut-free.

Chengdu Crunch is currently only available online.
