Tesla’s Diner And Drive-In Supercharger Has Finally Broken Ground In Hollywood

Elon Musk has come a step closer to opening his dream Tesla-inspired diner. In September we shared the news that the diner and drive-in supercharger had finally received the green light for construction, and just last week, workers broke ground.

Tesla’s diner and drive-in movie supercharger will reportedly carry a futuristic aesthetic and has been in the works since Musk tweeted about it in 2018. As someone known for coming up with some off the wall ideas, it wasn’t clear whether or not he was serious at the time. He did create and sell a flamethrower though, so there was always a possibility. Now it’s looking like we’ll all soon be eating Tesla-inspired burgers.

As previously reported, the diner concept includes 32 car stalls, two movie screens, and a restaurant with rooftop seating. It’s currently being built in Hollywood at 7001 W. Santa Monica Boulevard. Currently, there’s no information on when construction will be completed. Until then, these images feature renders created by architectural modeler Ed Howard that are based on the plans — with some liberties taken of course.
