It’s Not Just Delivery, It’s A DiGiorno Pizza-Making Robot

If you enjoy your pizza with a side of robotics, then you’re in luck. DiGiorno is testing a first-of-its-kind pizza-making robot that delivers your favorite frozen pizza in only three minutes.

While we are already seeing major fast-food chains operating their own robotics (oh hey Chipotle’s guacamole robot), Nestlè is the first major CPG brand to introduce automated pizza vending machines into the zeitgeist. Americans consume pizza 72 times in a year on average, and DiGiorno is ready to capitalize on it.

For only $9, this machine will make a classic thin-crust DiGiorno pizza in just three minutes. That’s literally enough time to select your order, take a photo of the machine and put it on your Insta story, and have your pizza ready to go in your hands.

According to company statistics, the kiosk is being well-received as it’s being tested in an autonomous cafè concept store: 97% of customers believe it’s a good value for the product and 89% see themselves ordering another robot-made pizza again. If you’re curious to try it, there are two kiosk locations: a Walmart in Denver, CO, and on the Nestlè campus in Solon, OH.

Keep your eyes peeled for a DiGiorno kiosk popping up around you in the near future.
