Rapper From K-Pop Group BTS Used To Drink A Chicken Breast, Banana And Grape Juice Smoothie

On the road to stardom you sometimes have to do the wildest things. That’s exactly the case with rapper Suga (Min Yoon-gi), member of massive K-Pop group BTS. According to a new memoir called “Beyond the Story: 10-year record of BTS, bandmate Jin recalled the group’s rough and tumble trainee days, and Suga’s head-scratching approach to maintaining his protein intake. 

Presumably mastering some higher level of discipline (or simply an aversion to things that actually taste good), Suga would blend together a concoction of chicken breast, bananas, and grape juice. Before the global fame, they were just teenagers living in a dorm together and chasing a dream. 

In the memoir, Jin, the oldest in the group, revealed, “Suga would basically just eat to live. He ate chicken breasts for protein but even eating them was too much of a hassle for him so he would blend it with some grape juice and a banana and gulp it down straight from the blender.” Though at one point curiosity got the best of Jin. “I had a taste of it and thought, ‘Nope, this isn’t it,’ and cooked up some things that I sprinkled with hot sauce or steak sauce,” he added.
