A Sonic The Hedgehog Cafe Pop-Up Is Opening In San Diego

Sonic the Hedgehog fans, go ahead and hit up your IRL Tails to let them know that you’re about to go on a trip to check out the new Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Cafe in San Diego.

The nostalgia-heavy restaurant, made possible through a partnership with SEGA and restaurateur Andy Nguyen of Secret Sauce Society, is guaranteed to represent all facets of the Sonic the Hedgehog universe in delicious fashion. Some of the speedy menu will feature the following mains:

Sonic’s Classic Chili Dog

Knuckles Sandwich

The Evil Genius

As for sides, expect Golden Ring onion rings and Fast Fries, a fitting tribute to Sonic’s speed. For refreshments, fans can hydrate with the Blue Blur (Sonic) blueberry slushie; Smashing Echidna (Knuckles) cherry slush; Flying Fox (Tails) mango orange slush; and Team Dark (Shadow) mocha milkshake.

Besides all the eats, the cafe will also slang exclusive Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Cafe merchandise like t-shirts, hoodies, and hats.

Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Cafe will host a Grand Opening celebration on July 19, the day before San Diego Comic-Con 2023, starting at 11 a.m. PT, with SEGA of America and the official Sonic mascot in attendance. The restaurant pop-up will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. PT from July 13 – 18 and July 24 – August 20, and 11 a.m. PT to midnight from July 19 – 23.
