Sean Tresvant Named As Taco Bell’s First Black CEO

In an unprecedented move, Taco Bell has hired Sean Tresvant, their first Black chief executive officer. According to KTLA 5, Tresvant will take over as CEO effective January 1.

He currently serves as global chief brand and strategy officer, and will be succeeding CEO Mark King, who will be retiring at the end of the year. As CEO, Tresvant’s job is to lead Taco Bell’s growth strategies, franchise operations and company performance.

Joining the team in January 2022 as global chief brand officer, in only one year Tresvant’s role would grow to global chief brand and strategy officer. Previously, he worked at Nike for 15 years.

“The love our fans and team members have for Taco Bell is extraordinary and means we’re in a unique position to push the limits on culture and become a brand that inspires and enables the world to Live Más,” said Tresvant.
