Halo Top’s New Anti-Gyms Are Bringing ‘No Work Workouts’ To The Masses
Gyms are popping up everywhere across the country. Equinox here, Planet Fitness there, and 24 Hour Fitness across the street. But now, we have a new challenger entering the ring: Halo Top Ice Cream is officially opening up “no work workout” circuit gyms across the country in an effort to fight the boring workout stigma and shake things up.
Promoted as an “un-gym,” this first-of-its-kind experience has already been seen in New York with the next stops being Chicago, Phoenix, and wrapping up in Los Angeles. The 24-minute circuit offers a different solution when your typical, boring gym routine just isn’t the vibe at the end of the day.
For specifics, Halo Top has taken stereotypical fitness experiences and turned them on their heads with the following activities:
- Rather than running on a boring treadmill, run through the aisles of their pop-up market and shop for Halo Top.
- Rather than working up a sweat punching a bag, work up a sweat having an ultimate pillow fight.
- Rather than taking another monotonous cycling class, take a spin on the Halo Top mechanical bull.
- Rather than humdrum pull-ups, see how long you can hang from a basketball rim after dunking a Halo Top basketball.
After working up a sweat and releasing all of those beautiful endorphins — you know, the ones that don’t make you shoot your husband — the experience concludes with free Halo Top ice cream.
As someone who easily gets bored with their fitness routine, I’ll be hitting up the Los Angeles installation opening day. You know… in the name of health and fitness.
