This Exclusive VIP Dinner At Coachella Has Been Serving Up All The Vibes For Nearly A Decade

At Coachella, not many can guess that there’s an exclusive dinner that features a dining table as long as the festival lineup itself. Yet within the confines of Coachella’s serene VIP Rose Garden, festival-goers can unwind and enjoy a one-of-a-kind, four-course, family-style dinner that plays out on a 200-seat, meandering communal table. Welcome to Outstanding In The Field.

Going on it’s eighth year at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Outstanding In The Field is known for immaculate dinners created by top-tier chefs and all the vibes it brings being set within the lush greenery of the Rose Garden. It’s a veritable oasis, away from the commotion of the music festival.

This year, starting on April 14, Outstanding In The Field will feature six chefs that will orchestrate the masterful multi-course dinner: Zarah Khan, Executive Chef of the Michelin-starred restaurant, Rustic Canyon; Tolu Erogbogbo, Executive Chef and founder of ILÉ and ILÉ Eros; Jared Simons, a leader in the plant-based movement; award-winning chef Javier Plascencia, whose behind multiple critically-acclaimed restaurants throughout Baja California; Monty Koludrovic, the Executive Chef at Hollywood hot spot Grandmaster Recorders; and Derek Christiansen and James Beard-nominated Chef and owner Rene Andrade of Bacanora in Phoenix.

When renowned land artist Jim Denevan first came up with the concept of Outstanding In The Field, he wanted to connect diners to the origins of their food while also highlighting ethical and responsible standards in dining. In carrying on with that ethos, this year’s dinner will honor the following organic farms: Aziz Farms, Coleman Farms, and Sage Mountain Farm, all of which play a critical and conscientious role in the local food scene.

The lineup for this year’s Outstanding In The Field is as follows:

● Friday, April 14: Zarah Khan, Rustic Canyon Group (Los Angeles)
● Saturday, April 15: Tolu Erogbogbo, Ile + ile.eros (Los Angeles & Lagos)
