Cannabis Pairings That Go Perfect With Classic Friendsgiving Desserts

Last year we teamed up with Raw Garden Farm to put together a list of wine and cannabis strains that pair perfectly with your Friendsgiving.

Raw Garden Farm is one of the largest cannabis growers in California that produces organic cannabis strains using sustainable cultivation practices. Since we’re all about lasting friendships around here, we feel Friendsgiving is great for enjoying a tasty meal with the homies accompanied by complimentary cannabis.

This year we’ve decided to switch things up with cannabis pairings that compliment classic Thanksgiving desserts. Each match was especially chosen by the good folks at Raw Garden Farm to enhance your traditional dessert experience while giving sugar high a whole new meaning:

APPLE PIE

  • Cannabis Strain Pairing:
  • Why?
    • Apple Fritter is gassy, with notes of sweet green apples. This strain hits you with the complex cannabis aroma that is the hallmark of many heritage strains and has a bit of fruitiness to make it increasingly palatable to many. The combination of this classic dessert paired with a dab of this new strain creates an amazing tableside adventure for any apple fan.

PECAN PIE

  • Cannabis Strain Pairing:
  • Why?
    • Deep flavors in a well made pecan pie can be a challenge to pair as there is a dark, rich complexity that has subtle notes that can be lost if not matched with the correct strain. The complex aromatics of Bubba Kush pair nicely with the deep, rich taste of the pecan pie. With sweet notes that yield to earthy-spice, kushiness, pecan pie with a fresh bowl of Bubba Kush will become your new favorite holiday escape.

CARROT CAKE

  • Cannabis Strain Pairing:
  • Why?
    • The exotic bright flavors of Guava Breeze bring out the sweet notes of raisin and carrot while being tempered by the creaminess of this classic cream cheese covered treat. Roll one up and get ready for an amazing conversation as everyone chatters over this new holiday favorite.

SWEET POTATO PIE

  • Cannabis Strain Pairing:
  • Why?
    • Add complexity and depth to the overall consumption experience with the combination of sweet berries and warm earthy notes to create an unrivaled desert experience. When paired with sweet potato pie the fruit forwardness of the berry notes in the Blueberry Cookies are complemented by this pie’s creamy, spiced smoothness.

CRANBERRY PIE

  • Cannabis Strain Pairing:
  • Why?
    • Tart cranberries have met their match when it comes to unique tastes for their category. This tangy little pie is well paired with the oddly creamy strain, Extreme OG. A strain with deep cream notes that are pronounced and well-defined complement this bright holiday dessert.

PUMPKIN ROLLS

  • Cannabis Strain Pairing:
  • Why?
    • Doughy sweetness matched with a subtle, fruity cream creates a soothing holiday treat. Blackberry Cream has a delicate berry taste with notes of cream and dough, which pairs wonderfully with the warmth of a holiday pumpkin roll and a cup of herbal tea. Curl up and enjoy a little butter on your roll and a fat bowl in your pipe.
