Shake Shack is Serving Up Boozy Bourbon-Infused Bacon Jam in Two New Items
What’s better than bacon? Many might say nothing. But what about bourbon-infused bacon? Do I have your attention now? Shake Shack recently released two new menu items featuring a bourbon bacon jam.
The Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Burger and Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Chicken sandwich, launched on May 6. Shake Shack’s bourbon bacon jam marries Maker’s Mark Kentucky bourbon, which is aged to taste and has notes of vanilla, caramel and oak, with bacon that is smoked for six hours using real hardwood applewood. The irresistible result is condiment that’s sweet and savory, with woodsy and smoky notes and a kiss of heat.
The Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Burger includes a white-cheddar cheeseburger, made with fresh 100% Angus beef, topped with the aforementioned bourbon bacon jam, crispy shallots and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun. The Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Chicken Sandwich is a crispy, whole white meat chicken breast topped with white-cheddar cheese and bourbon bacon jam over pickles on a toasted potato bun.
Starting at $8.00 a sandwich, both are available now at Shake Shack locations nationwide.
