A Thai Pizza Chain Has a ‘Crazy Happy Pizza’ Topped With Cannabis

With the legalization of marijuana becoming more widespread, folks have been able to access edibles that go beyond just the old mystery brownies and cookies. These days we’re seeing edibles in the form of artisan chocolates and even sparkling beverages.

Over in Thailand, local legislation that was passed back in February of this year allowed for cannabis to be used in food and beverages. The Pizza Company, a fast food chain in the country has taken that assignment and completed it with a new ‘Crazy Happy Pizza’ that’s topped with a fried cannabis leaf, as reported by the Associated Press.

The Crazy Happy Pizza won’t get customers high, however, as the deep-fried cannabis leaf used only serves as a topping and flavor component to the pizza. Beyond just the leaf itself, the actual trappings of the Crazy Happy Pizza take inspo from the Thai soup, Tom Yum Gai. Cannabis is also infused into the pizza crust and finds its way into an accompanying dipping sauce, though neither of the applications will get you high as well.
