Chicken McBites — McDonald’s Answer to Popcorn Chicken?

In collaboration with the end of the world (2012, haha), McDonald’s has officially confirmed they will be taking their Chicken McBites product national early next year. McBites, originally test-marketed in Australia earlier this year, followed by Detroit soon after, are bite-sized nuggets with a bit more reality then their current McNuggets product. Think popcorn chicken…but from McDonald’s.

The McBites will be arriving in three different packages, including 4, 6 and 12 ounce packages, ranging in price from $1.99 to $4.99. The fast food chicken bite market segment currently only sees competition from KFC and the more low-key Chick-fil-A brand.
