DoubleTree Finally Revealed Their Iconic Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

After a long drive, the first thing I look forward to when checking into any DoubleTree hotel is that soft, warm cookie that they hand you upon check in. Seriously, there are so many good memories associated with that first bite.

For those tired of making banana bread at home, DoubleTree just released their iconic chocolate chip cookie recipe for all to enjoy.

If you’re not traveling anytime soon, but want to recapture the magic that comes from each bite of this warm puck of ambrosia, here’s what you’ll need:

DoubleTree Signature Cookie Ingredients

  • ½ pound butter, softened (2 sticks)
  • ¾ cup + 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch cinnamon
  • 2 2/3 cups Nestle Tollhouse semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 3/4 cups chopped walnuts

All you have to do is combine the butter, sugars in a mixer for about 2 minutes. Toss in the eggs, vanilla, and lemon juice with the mixer now turned to low for 30 seconds, then switch it to medium for 2 minutes until the batter is light and fluffy. Now switching back to low speed, add the flour, oats, baking soda, salt and cinnamon for 45 seconds.

Take the bowl off the mixer, and stir in your chocolate chips and walnuts. Divide the dough with a cookie scoop and put them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper two inches apart. Preheat your oven to 300°F and bake for 20-23 minutes (or until edges are golden brown and center soft). Take them out of the oven, and let them cool for an hour.

Each recipe makes about 26 cookies. Wonder how many of those 26 I can knock back in a single sitting?
