PlateTopper Universal Suction Lid

Every FOODBEAST finds him or herself with leftovers from time to time. Ordinarily, that would mean having to put your food into a storage container or mess around with plastic wrap or foil, but who needs that hassle? Just stick a giant hard-top suction cup over your plate and keep your food to be devoured another day.

That’s essentially what the PlateTopper does for you. Just press down the cover over your plate of food to create an air-tight suction over the dish. When you have the hunger pains again, simply lift the pull tab to release the suction to continue your chow down session. In addition to being microwave safe and dishwasher save, the PlateTopper is assembled with absolutely no glue or adhesives.

The PlateTopper, a design project by Michael Tseng out of San Francisco, is looking for investors to get his idea from concept to production. His goal of $12,000 is well over half-way there, and it goes to funding his first production run of the PlateTopper.
