Starbucks Looking to Expand into the Juice-Bar Business?

Are the stars aligning for the Starbucks brand to add a full fledged juice-bar to their growing offering list?

Analysts are scrutinizing the recent hire of Yohana Bencosme, the former manager of trendy Manhattan juice bar Liquiteria who’s new job is train staffers in Starbucks’ Seattle headquarters. A source told the press that Starbuck’s CEO Howard Schultz also spent a lot of time at Bencosme’s previous employer, checking out the juices, and mentions that Schultz has an interest in adding pressed-juice “grab and go” bars to his cafes.

Can fresh juices find a respectable home at Starbucks locations? Only time will tell.
