During the Sweets and Snacks Expo, OREO showed off six of their upcoming flavors for 2018, one of them being a collab with Disney and the big mouse himself.
Our friend Chris of Junk Banter, who is usually on top of all the new OREO flavors, provided a sneak peek of a limited edition Mickey Mouse Birthday Cake flavor, with Mickey Mouse prints on the cookie.
Coming along for the 2018 ride will be a Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake flavor, Rocky Road Trip, Peppermint Bark, Pistachio Thins, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, which has been rumored since December, 2017.
All the flavors sound amazing (except maybe the pistachio. Who asked for that?), and those who grew up with strawberry shortcake ice cream bars are probably extra excited to try that one.
The Strawberry shortcake and Rocky Road are expected to release this summer, while the Peppermint Bark are expected to be a holiday season release.
OREO’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie and Pistachio will release in 2018, but we don’t really know when, yet.
The Mickey Mouse collab will likely come out around November, as it’s celebrating the 90th anniversary of Mickey’s film debut in Steamboat Willie, back on Nov. 18, 1928.
OREO flavor launches have turned into the equivalent of a new shoe release. We never know what OREO is going to come up with next, but we always know something is coming.
OREO didn’t try to keep anything secret, and they shouldn’t, since the flavors always get leaked anyway. Now we know what to expect. Those Mickey OREOs are going to be a hot pickup, and the Strawberry Shortcake are also an instacop. Hope you’re not on a diet this summer.
