Disneyland Just Turned Their Famous Dole Whip Into DONUTS

disneyland

Dole Whip has become as integral to Disneyland as long lines and Mickey Mouse have, and the titular theme park is giving the dessert a due tribute with their newest sweet treat: Dole Whip Donuts.

Officially called the Pineapple Donut with Meringue, the term “Dole Whip Donut” spread like wildfire when these desserts first came out. Found at the Disneyland Donut Cart next to the big castle, the sweet treat has pineapple on both the inside and out while retaining the visual swirl of the OG dessert. According to Disney Food Blog, this involves a toasted marshmallow-like meringue and pineapple icing on top, as well as a somewhat chunky pineapple filling inside.

The Dole Whip Donuts sound like a fire addition to Disney’s dessert menu, but there’s limited quantities made every day for those hoping to get their hands on one. I tried getting one a couple of hours after the park opened, and they had already sold out. Makes sense, given how popular Dole Whip and anything related to it is.

Fortunately, there appear to be two batches of these donuts made daily: once for when the park opens, and once around 5 pm. So even if you come to the park for a quick after-work stay, you still have a chance to track one of these down.

For those who do snag one of these elusive Dole Whip Donuts, here’s a pro tip: Get some actual Dole Whip on the side. That combo of hot, fluffy donuts with the cold, pineapple dessert will take your tastebuds on worthwhile a journey.
