McDonald’s To Reboot Dollar Menu, Here’s What’s Definitely On It

McDonald’s recently announced a Dollar Menu reboot that’s bringing the value option back to its consumers. While we had gleaned some details in an earnings conference call earlier this year, no exact items were specifically named, but McDonald’s revealed Monday which foods you can expect to find once their deals go into effect.

Starting January 4, you will be able to get each of the following items at the stated prices nationwide, as reported by Reuters. (UPDATE: Items reported by BrandEating have also been added to this list, which were independently confirmed by Foodbeast with McDonald’s.)

$1 – Any size soft drink, single cheeseburgers, McChickens, or a sausage burrito

$2 – Small McCafe beverages, Bacon McDoubles, Sausage McGriddles, or 2-piece Buttermilk Crispy Tenders (which are now confirmed to be making a comeback)

$3 – Happy Meals, triple cheeseburgers, Sausage and Egg McMuffins, and the new Classic Chicken Sandwich (Buttermilk crispy chicken, pickles, and sauce on a plain bun).

Additionally, McDonald’s plans to keep their current McPick 2 option, the current value option that followed the Dollar Menu, as part of their fast food offerings.

The golden-arched giant’s return to its cheap offerings comes amidst growing pressure to lower prices, as many of McDonald’s competitors now offer items whose prices rival that of their previous budget eats. Taco Bell, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Subway are just some of the fast food chains that now sell select offerings for under three bucks.
