Shake Shack Puts Real Chili On Its Menu For The First Time Ever

shake shack finally adds chili

Previously, Shake Shack fans craving some chili cheese fries had to resort to the secret menu hack of adding chopped peppers to their cheesy spuds. It wasn’t the same as topping them off with a warm, hearty chili, but it sufficed. Fortunately, the East Coast burger legend has heard the prayers of many, and folks are ecstatic as Shake Shack finally adds chili to their lineup.

Shake Shack’s chili is a braised beef chili, infused with Ancho and Chile de Arbol peppers for heat. You can order it in three different official items: A single or double Chili Cheeseburger (priced at $6.89 for a single or $9.69 for a double), a chili cheese dog ($4.89), or chili cheese fries ($4.99). Additionally, while not on the official menu, you can ask for a side of chili to get a cup to go alongside whatever else you order.

The chili items will be available for order on the Shake Shack app beginning Monday, October 30th. All locations, barring those in airports, ballparks, and stadiums, will have them in stores starting Thursday, November 2nd.

I’m curious to see how well the secret menu fries pair with this chili.
