Most Pot Smokers Get Their Munchies Fix At McDonald’s, According To Study
When you’ve been blazing one up and get the munchies, chances are that you’ll hit up a fast food spot for some convenient eats. Apparently, when pot smokers need their fix, most of them end up choosing the Golden Arches.

A joint study between Green Market Research and Consumer Research Around Cannabis found that out of those who purchase weed legally, 43% are likely to choose McDonald’s as their go-to fast food munchies fix. To obtain their data, researchers asked respondents across the United States what fast food places they ate at in the last four weeks.
Trailing McDonald’s in the study was Taco Bell, where 18.3% of pot smokers got their grub on. Following them on the list were Wendy’s (17.8%), Burger King (17.6%), and Subway (8.7%). KFC (5.5%), Arby’s, Chick-fil-A, Jack in the Box, and Carl’s Jr. rounded out the rankings.
It makes sense that McDonald’s would top the list with such an overwhelming margin. Between the overall low cost, availability of all-day breakfast, legendary status of items like the Big Mac and McNuggets, and the ubiquity of Mcdonald’s locations across the entire nation, there’s a lot of things going for the fast food giant when it comes to weed smokers getting their feast on there.
Maybe Harold and Kumar should’ve gone to McDonald’s instead.
