Here’s Why John Cena Hates The Term ‘Cheat Day’ In Diets

John Cena’s known best for some pretty classic, unexpected memes, and in the wrestling world, he’s known for picking up 500-pound adult men over his shoulders and slamming them. The guy is built like a jean-short wearing Greek god, and knows a thing or five about diet and fitness, so listen up when he talks about cheat meals.

Apparently, Cena absolutely hates the term “cheat day,” because of its psychological effects on the dieter, according to an interview with Brobible.

Cena told  Brobible:

“Like, we all know that eating food that isn’t necessarily healthy, isn’t good for us, and the word ‘cheat’ gives us entitlement to just cheat.”

It’s not that Cena doesn’t have his own pig-out days, but he has a weird disgust for the term itself. The champ feels that if you let yourself cheat once, you’ll let yourself cheat over and over again, and eventually fall off the wagon.

While Cena said he enjoys food as much as the next person, he refuses to use the term, “cheat,” and goes with the term “load days” instead. When he does go on his load days, his go-to  meals usually consist of pancakes, french toast, muffins, cookies, pies and ice cream.

In the interview, he also reveals a few fitness fun facts, such as his hate for doing bicep workouts. Cena said he hates doing arm curls, and usually leaves them toward the end of his workouts. Yes, even one of the strongest human beings on Earth has hatred for a specific workout.

As far as cheat meals go, Cena seems a little cynical, but I’m not going to argue with him and get slapped around by a dude with arms the size of Kanye West’s ego.
