Here Are The Exact Foods Revealed In Nickelodeon’s Green Slime
Nickelodeon fans may remember the old game show Double Dare which aired on the network back in the ’80s through the early ’90s. Contestants were put into teams and had to either answer trivia questions or brave a variety of stunts and challenges that often left them covered in something sticky.
One substance in particular became synonymous with the network for years to come: green slime.
Tech Insider caught up with Marc Summers, the former host of Nickelodeon shows like Double Dare and What Would You Do?, and asked him exactly what was in that infamous emerald goop.
According to Summers, here’s exactly what was in the original recipe for slime:
It started off as vanilla pudding, apple sauce, green food coloring, and a little oatmeal.
Summer also revealed that while the slime gained notoriety on the two shows he hosted, it actually debuted on another Nickelodeon show You Can’t Do That On Television.
Now you can find many recreations and recipes online on how to recreate the green ooze, but if you want to get as authentic as you can, keep those core ingredients in mind.
