Samsung Galaxy S8 Inside Of A Raindrop Cake Survives 100-Foot Fall
When new phones come out, a common trend on the internet is for people to take them through “drop tests” to see how well they can survive from different heights in different scenarios.
YouTube channel GizmoSlip takes these drop tests to the next level by encasing the phones in wacky creations to see if they will protect the phone from being destroyed upon impact. These drop tests typically occur at 100 feet high, meaning that the phone is essentially doomed no matter what.
In their latest viral experiment, the GizmoSlip team decided to encase the new Samsung Galaxy S8 inside of a Japanese raindrop cake, the tasteless dessert that’s been blowing up all over Instagram because of how gorgeous it looks. Miraculously, that raindrop cake acted as the perfect sacrificial shield to keep the Galaxy S8 perfectly intact upon drop.
Even the guys on set were in awe at how well it worked. I still wouldn’t recommend you trying this out at home, though. Just because these guys were able to pull it off doesn’t guarantee the same thing will happen to your phone.
